Defensive ends J.J. Watt and Chandler Jones are expected to be huge players for Arizona when the season begins in 2021. The Cardinals training camp goes on but only one of them is in the field at present.

This isn't an issue because Watt did not stop extolling his excitement over the new season. If you talk to the Bird Gang's fans enough and you'll be able to see the frequency with which Watt and Jones are often mentioned in the same sentence. Yet, it's not enough to stop from the gossip surrounding Jones and his reported trade proposal.

However, Jones is in camp regardless. And from what we've seen so far, looks like wearing Cardinals red is the idea. There must be a convincing argument to take on J.J. Watt.

In addition, there's an enormous difference playing the season with Jones or playing 2021 without Larry Fitzgerald who has yet to show up. Fitzgerald's impact on the field is more impressive as compared to Jones'.

Training camp has only just started and for the moment, Watt and Jones are still in the Valley. Jones' final year on contract will not go unnoticed. Jones, who has been a three-time Pro Bowler, has done well to make more money in the last year since coming to Arizona.
