You're just right. Funniest part about the shot meter is 2K will let you change it to whatever you want. Horizontal, vertical off entirely, go for it. My biggest gripe is things that NBA 2K21 can't do right. Quit putting things from the park that lag NBA 2K21. When my competitions quit, why am I punished? I need common sense fixes, they can develop NBA 2K21play however they need. There's metas in every match. I'd like to understand ho differently next gen plays, and whether they will let the neighborhood micromanage both variations of NBA 2K21. I'm skipping current gen in most likelihood, but I will be interested to learn how much they support the current gen game with these kinds of changes.

That's a super point that is legitimate! But certain fans of 2K whine (particularly me) because the changes are what we desire concentrated! Envision them changing shot meter to the 5th time in 6 decades yet pure playmakers still cant pass full court! 2K has a streak of messing things that are beneficial and ignoring the evil! Like we have pure finishers thT miss cuz of intimidator to wide open layups. I personally no longer expect 2K to do what most of these fans have been requesting since they were just kids playing 2K. Out of all of the sports games feel 2K is the furthest from its sport!
