DALIAN, June 9 (Xinhua) -- A court in the northeast China cityof Dalian Friday opened a trial into the suspected crimes ofBeijing Pangu Investment Co. Ltd, controlled by fugitive GuoWengui, as well as three of its employees.

The bank issued loans totalling 3.2 billion yuan (470 millionU.S. dollars) to Pangu. The company then presented fabricatedinvoices and used the loans for other purposes, later having torepay the loan after being found of misusing the money.


Prosecutors also charged Lyu and Xie with fraudulently obtainingforeign exchange totalling 13.5 million U.S. dollars from the Bankof Communications by using falsified furniture import contracts andinvoices in 2012.
