The Bills (2-5) make their triumphant return to Monday Night Football as the home team for the first time in nearly a decade http://www.authenticsbuffalobills.com/cheap-star-lotulelei-jersey , when the Bills welcome AFC East foe the New England Patriots (5-2) to New Era Field. Kickoff is set for 8:15 p.m. Eastern, and the eyes of the football world will be on Orchard Park, with ESPN televising the game. This is Buffalo’s first home appearance on Monday Night Football since the 2008 season, when Buffalo fell to the Cleveland Browns 29-27 on Nov. 17.This is Buffalo’s first Monday Night Football game since a 31-25 road loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Nov. 7, 2016. The Bills last faced the Patriots on a Monday night during the 2015 season, suffering a 20-13 loss on Nov. 23, 2015. These two teams are heading in opposite directions, with the Bills struggling to score points (ranked last in the league in scoring offense, 11.6 points per game), while the Patriots are averaging 39.3 points per game during a four-game winning streak and find themselves in a familiar place: alone in first place in the AFC East.During his NFL career, QB Tom Brady has terrorized the Bills, and brings a 28-3 record against Buffalo into the MNF game. Brady is once again playing at an MVP level for the Patriots. The key to a Bills upset is to get pressure on Brady, and for Bills fans, hopefully the defense will return to its Week 6 form (sacking Deshaun Watson seven times) compared to Week 7, when it recorded zero sacks and allowed Andrew Luck to toss four touchdown passes. This will be the 117th meeting all-time between former American Football League rivals. New England owns a 72-43-1 record all-time, including a 26-8 win as the Boston Patriots during the 1963 AFL playoffs, the only postseason meeting between these two teams.Last year, the Bills fell to the Patriots 23-3 at New Era Field, and lost a 37-16 decision to the Patriots in Foxboro. The game has been sold out for months. As if Bills fans needed any additional incentive to get pumped up for the Monday night appearance, Hall of Fame running back Thurman Thomas will have his No. 34 retired at halftime. Instead of being competitive with the Ravens, the Bills (0-1) were outclassed in every aspect of the game http://www.billsauthorizedshops.com/authentic-corey-bojorquez-jersey , suffering a humiliating, humbling, and demoralizing 47-3 setback in Baltimore on Sunday. On the latest edition of the Buffalo Rumblings Podcast, host John Boccacino and co-host Anthony Marino dissect the embarrassing defeat to the Ravens. There wasn’t much to like from this debacle in Baltimore. Listen to our podcast to find out what, if anything, was a positive from this blowout, and hear what our podcasters think about the quarterback position, the offensive line, the wide receivers, and all the areas that Buffalo needs to improve upon. There were very few positives to take away from Sunday’s demoralizing season-opening loss by the Bills at rainy M&T Bank Stadium. One positive? Thanks to Stephen Hauschka’s 35-yard field goal late in the third quarter, Buffalo avoided their third season-opening shutout, a feat accomplished in 1977 (a 13-0 loss to the Miami Dolphins) and 1983 (a 12-0 setback to the Dolphins). The Bills managed to go the ENTIRE first half without recording a first down, while allowing Joe Flacco and the Ravens offense to score five times and pile up yards en route to a 26-0 halftime lead.Nathan Peterman proved once again that preseason stats are meaningless. After putting up one of the best preseasons of any quarterback in the league, Peterman regressed big-time, completing only five of 18 passes for 24 yards, two interceptions, and an abysmal quarterback rating of 0.0. Rookie Josh Allen fared better, though it would have been difficult to look more inept than Peterman did vs. the Ravens. The only bright spots (and these must be taken with a grain of salt, given the overall awfulness of the Bills) were the running and return game of Marcus Murphy (six carries for 31 yards, averaged 33 yards per run back on five kickoff returns), the punting of Corey Bojorquez (averaged nearly 50 yards on eight punts) http://www.billsauthorizedshops.com/authentic-jason-croom-jersey , and the play of rookie linebacker Tremaine Edmunds (six tackles, plus a sack and a forced fumble in the second quarter). Who should McDermott turn to for Week 2’s home opener vs. the Los Angeles Chargers? What’s up with Vontae Davis, who was supposed to start as the No. 2 cornerback but instead was a healthy scratch? Can anything be done to solidify a porous offensive line that allowed six sacks and struggled in both the run blocking and pass protection? These questions are addressed in this sure-to-be-inspiring podcast!
