LOS ANGELES -- For starters, neither club has announced one for Game 4 of their National League Division Series. Both Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts and Washington Nationals skipper Dusty Baker didnt have an answer about who would be on the mound when the series resumes Tuesday at Dodger Stadium. The Dodgers, who are in a must-win situation and trail the Nationals 2-1 in the best-of-five series, are leaning toward bringing back ace Clayton Kershaw on three days rest. Kershaw was the winning pitcher in Game 1 on Friday. The Dodgers also are mulling whether to give the ball to rookie left-hander Julio Urias, who was originally penciled in to start Game 4. That changed when the Dodgers lost 8-3 in Game 3 on Monday. Its a possibility, Roberts said of Kershaw starting. I think you look at Julio at home, but you look at Kershaw on short rest at home. So, as an organization, weve got to figure out what gives us the best chance (Tuesday).Urias, who finished 5-2 with a 3.39 ERA, has been one of the Dodgers best pitchers in the second half of the season. Urias won four straight starts in August and had a 1.99 ERA during the month. Although he didnt register a win in September, primarily because the Dodgers limited his innings, Urias had a 1.93 ERA in 14 innings.Well, in an elimination game, we still have to win two games, Roberts said of possibly starting Urias. So the thought of having Julio pitch at home versus the road is something were thinking through, and what gives us the best chance to win two games.Baker said either Joe Ross or Reynaldo Lopez would probably get the nod for the Nationals. We havent decided yet, Baker said after Mondays win over the Dodgers. (General manager) Mike (Rizzo) and I were just talking about that. Its probably between Lopez and Ross. So we havent decided yet.Baker then asked members of the media who the Dodgers were starting. He was told they hadnt made a decision either. Were not playing gamesmanship or whatever you call it, Baker said. No, I mean, we just havent decided. If we had decided, it doesnt really make any difference. Youve got to tell them at some time sooner or later, and so no, we havent decided yet.Ross, who finished the regular season with a 7-5 record and a 3.43 ERA in 19 starts, hasnt pitched since Sept. 29 when he got a no-decision against the Arizona Diamondbacks. A shoulder injury, which forced Ross to miss more than two months, limited him to three starts in the final month of the regular season.Ross posted a 2.79 ERA in those three September outings, but he never worked more than four innings in either start.Lopez compiled a 5-3 mark with a 4.91 ERA in 11 games (six starts). Lopez hasnt started a game since Sept. 4 when he surrendered three runs and six hits in a loss to the New York Mets.Since then, Lopez has been used primarily out of the bullpen, sometimes as a long reliever. http://www.ravensrookiestore.com/Ravens-Albert-Mcclellan-Jersey/ . With nary an All-Star this season, the Nuggets won a franchise record 57 games and went an NBA-best 38-3 at home, helping Ujiri garner the NBAs Executive of the Year honour to go with George Karls Coach of the Year award. Now, the Nuggets reportedly might lose Ujiri. Yahoo Sports reported Friday that the Nuggets are allowing Ujiri to meet with the Toronto Raptors about their GM vacancy. The Nuggets didnt return messages from The Associated Press. Yahoo reported that Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment CEO Tim Leiweke is prepared to offer Ujiri $3 million annually to return to Toronto, where he was assistant GM for three years before joining the Nuggets in 2010. Denver has a history of paying its front-office architects below market salaries, from Kiki Vandeweghe to Mark Warkentien and Ujiri, whos one of the leagues lowest-paid GMs with an annual salary south of $1 million. Team president Josh Kroenke said earlier this month he didnt think there would be any hiccups in signing Ujiri to a new long-term deal — his current contract expires June 30 — and Ujiri has repeatedly said he wants to stay in Denver. The Raptors recently stripped Bryan Colangelo of final say on basketball matters, extending his contract as team president but embarking on a search for a new general manager. The Raptors were 10th in the Eastern Conference this year, finishing out of the playoffs for a franchise-worst fifth straight season. Leiweke was hired last month after a successful period in charge of Anschutz Entertainment Group, owner of the NBAs Los Angeles Lakers, the NHLs Los Angeles Kings and the Los Angeles Galaxy of MLS.dddddddddddd Leiweke addressed concerns that keeping Colangelo around would complicate things for any new hire by stressing that the new GM will have complete authority on basketball matters and will report directly to Leiweke, not Colangelo. Colangelo said he understood the message from his new boss, saying, "The bottom line is, if I get in the way, Im not going to be around." A native of Nigeria and the first African-born GM in Americas four major sports, Ujiri has deep roots with both teams. He was a scout for the Nuggets from 2003-07 before joining the Raptors as director of global scouting. He was promoted in 2008 to assistant Raptors GM and returned to Denver on Aug. 27, 2010, where he was handed the Melo-drama with Anthony demanding a trade to the New York Knicks. After finally engineering the blockbuster deal that next February, Ujiri famously apologized, saying, "We feel we got killed in the trade because we lost a couple of pretty good players. Obviously, Carmelo Anthony, I feel sad for the city of Denver. I feel bad this was done on my watch. To lose a guy like that. And also Chauncey (Billups). But I think we had to do it. We had to do this trade. We had to move on and give this city hope." The trade turned out to be a win-win for both teams: Denver landed a bevy of young players, trade exemptions and draft picks Ujiri used to retool the roster, and the Knicks got a bona fide superstar to build a team around.
